Alumni Membership

NSP created the Alumni program in 1977 and there are currently more than 5,000 registered Alumni members. As an Alumni Member, you will continue to enjoy many NSP benefits, and stay connected with your fellow patrollers. Alumni membership is a special NSP registration category for members who no longer can or want to provide emergency care or rescue services but wish to remain involved with NSP.

To qualify for Alumni membership a member must have paid dues as a registered Patroller (not Candidate) for at least one full year. Alumni members may return to active patrolling at any time by meeting current OEC and membership requirements.
Alumni members are not required to refresh their OEC certifications, but it is highly recommended if they plan to return to patrolling as missed OEC refreshers require make up and expired OEC requires recertification.
