The Young Adult Program
The Young Adult Patroller Program is a valuable program that introduces teens to patrolling and the NSP. It often serves as a training ground for future patrollers. NSP members and patrol candidates must be 15 years of age to qualify as young adult patrollers. Young adult patrollers (age 15 through high school graduation) must meet the same requirements and fulfill the same patroller training and responsibilities as any other member of the patrol with the same skill set. The NSP imposes no limitation on young adult patrollers' activities that are not common to all who participate in NSP programs. NSP Young Adult Programs at the local level must be conducted in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, school district policies and procedures, and the ski area's rules and regulations.
