Jerry Sherman

Jerry joined the Brantling Ski Patrol in Western New York in 1978. He soon became involved in patrol leadership, serving as junior advisor, assistant patrol director for first aid, and patrol director. In 1990, he was elected region director and followed that with service as assistant division director, member of the NSP board of directors, and Eastern Division director. He now serves as NSP Awards advisor.

Jerry was awarded National Appointment Number 7222 in 1990. In 1996, he was selected the Eastern Division Outstanding Administrator, then earned a Gold Merit Star as NSP National Outstanding Administrative Patroller in 1997. In 2010, he was named the Eastern Division Outstanding Paid Patroller and received a Blue Merit Star for a life-saving effort. He received a Purple Merit Star in 2014 for leading a successful life-saving effort at Bristol Mountain. He also has an award named after him at the division level.
