What is An Alumni Member?

Alumni membership is a way for former patrollers to remain members of the NSP. The alumni member category was created in 1977. Alumni membership is available to anyone who has been registered with the NSP as a patroller or physician partner (above candidate) for one year. Alumni members can choose how involved they want to be. Some alumni remain as instructors and stay involved with their local patrol in an advisory capacity.

Whether it’s celebrating your NSP alumni status at an Alumni Celebration Ski Day (at Heavenly Resort above Lake Tahoe) or serving
as course marshals or first-aiders at the USA’s largest biking event (the Sea Otter Classic), join the almost 4,500 active members of the NSP alumni!

  • Alumni members receive the following benefits:

    • An annual subscription to Ski Patrol Magazine.
    • The ability to purchase all NSP Online Store items except patrol uniform-specific items.
    • Access to all Pro Deals, excluding Black Diamond and Scarpa and including limited Patagonia discounts.
    • The ability to participate and be credentialed in an NSP training or education programs.
    • Comprehensive support services.
    • Online resources.
    • Annual updates
    • Continued years of NSP service
