NSP Seeks Education Director

Education Director General Summary
The Education Director is responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating all activities, content, and materials relating to NSP education and credentialing programs, including writing and editing materials, project management, budgeting, and coordinating volunteer committees, conferences and meetings. As the main point of contact for NSP Education Programs, the Education Director interacts with national program directors, division supervisors, instructor trainers, national committees and instructors, and serves as an educational resource for NSP members and as the liaison with industry partners and external organizations.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader with a minimum of five years’ experience in the association education field and is knowledgeable and passionate about adult learning and performance-based training programs. A background in the development and administration of content and credentialing for association membership and public education programs is preferred.
Qualifications
- Adult learning and/or performance-based training program expertise;
- Experience in the development and delivery of certification or credentialing programs, with a particular expertise in training and developing instructors;
- Able to manage, administer, and facilitate education programs, conferences, and meetings;
- Project management, including ability to coordinate and manage teams of contributors and volunteers in completion of projects;
- Nonprofit association experience;
- Research and prepare detailed budgets for projects;
- Five years of instructional training within the outdoor recreation industry desirable;
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills;
- Patrolling and/or snow sports industry experience preferred.
Education and Experience
- Degree in education, training and development, or related field.
- Background with pre-hospital emergency care, preferably Outdoor Emergency Care.
- Demonstrated experience with education program design, development and evaluation.
