Everyday Heroes Photo Contest: VIEW THE WINNERS!!
Once again, patrollers stepped forward to show us their best creative skills, as over 200 photos, and a total of 18 videos, were submitted for the Everyday Heroes Photo Contest. Click here to view all 227 photos and 18 videos.
Congrats to Skyler Holman of Orem, Utah, who patrols for the Sundance Pro Patrol, on his winning photo, which shows a silouetted patroller carrying bamboo skate skiing along a ridge toward a setting sun. Holman also took first place in the Unedited Video category.
Jason Lombard of South Fork, Colo., who patrols for the Wolf Creek Pro Patrol, took runner-up for grand prize, as well as first for the Patroller at Work category, for an image showing a patroller hiking a steep slope in a snow storm with his skis over his shoulder and the patrol hut far below in the background.
Other winners included Tom Leeman of the Burke Mountain Ski Patrol in Vermont for Après Ski photo, Christopher Garvey of the Mt. Hood Meadows Pro Patrol in Oregon for Passion for the Profession photo, and Matt Stouder of the Willamette Pass Ski Patrol in Oregon for Ski and Snowboard Experience photo. Erika Chapman of the Cannonsburg Ski Patrol in Michigan won for Edited Video.
