Dear friends and supporters,
40 lives and 160,000 people. At first glance, those numbers seems like just another statistic. But give it a second thought and it turns into much, much more. 40 lives…Through the good work of NSP, 40 individuals were able to return home to their families, hug their loved ones, and visit with their friends once again. 160,000 people…can you imagine helping that many people? To put that number into perspective, imagine two Yankees Stadiums filled with people that all need first aid care - that's the amount of people that receive care from NSP patrollers each year.
NSP is very proud of each and every one of its patrollers and the awesome work that they do. The organization has grown tremendously since its founding in 1938, and today, NSP celebrates its 75th Anniversary with over 28,000 patrollers across 600 patrols in the U.S. and Europe. While the common misperception is that all of these members are paid, it's very much the contrary. Out of these 28,000 patrollers, over 70 percent are completely volunteer. This is one of the great things that makes NSP unique, and why we're asking for your help in keeping this organization strong for the next 75 years.
